What if I showed you how you can make 00 per month, just by playing games?
Don’t believe me? By the end of this article your perspective on work will have completely changed. Why? Because you’ll have learned that you don’t need some run of the mill job to make a living. And you’ll have greater insight into how you can slowly accumulate wealth as a video game tester by doing what you love. At the end of this article, I provide a link that will get you started right away. In the meantime, read on to learn more about this fantastic money-maker!

It must be every young person’s dream to get one of the video game tester jobs available in the industry. And now that dream is completely possible for anyone who shows interest and takes just a little initiative. That’s right, you can have a video game tester job by next week if you put your motives into action today.

All video game tester jobs have immense appeal to everyone who enjoys video games. Imagine being paid to do what you enjoy doing most of all. One reason for applying for one of the video game tester jobs is that it gives you a foot in the door of the video games industry. Of course those who have programming or artistic qualifications may find it easy to break into the industry without applying for one of the video game tester jobs but for those without such qualifications it is not so easy.

There are two main types of video game tester jobs – paid and unpaid. The paid variety of video game tester jobs entails going into work every day (or at the very least reporting into work from home). The unpaid jobs involve the circulation of Beta versions of the software to volunteers for early feedback and help with debugging. Paid is obviously preferred and knowing this, we’ve provided a sweet little link at the bottom of the page that will give you more information on getting a paid video game tester job.

Having one of the video game tester jobs doesn’t necessarily mean an easy life beckons. It is essential that video games are bug free and that they work as they should. Sometimes those who hold the video game tester jobs have not been involved in the original design of the game and don’t have a vision of what the aim of the game is. In this case it is easy for functionality to be identified as a bug when it is in fact supposed to be there. And…that’s pretty much the only negative I can think of. Other than that, you’re getting paid for going about your regular routine. I should however warn you that just because you don’t have to work 40 hours a week testing games, you should take this as some kind of a “whatever” side gig. You should treat the tester jobs you are given with some seriousness. After all, once you earn the respect of the software company you are testing for, you never know what doors can open up. Be smart and think long term.

It is not enough for those in video game tester jobs to simply find bugs. They must be able to record how they found the bug; what steps they had taken before the game crashed or behaved unexpectedly. They must be prepared to go the extra mile to help the developers provide the necessary fix.

It is, therefore, essential that those in video game tester jobs have a flexible approach to their work and an ability to look for a bigger picture when working. You may be asked by some software companies to really get involved in solving problems by listing specifics when reporting a bug. Again, look at this as a positive aspect to having a video game tester job. You’re actually looked at as having a respected opinion. If you enjoy playing video games and show the hiring company a professional attitude, you will be given all sorts of opportunites. Maybe you have an interest in Designing Video Games. Maybe you have an Interest in making Video Game Music. Maybe you enjoy computers and are looking to get into the Information Technology field. In any of these cases, a Video Game Tester Job can provide the exact gateway you’re looking for.

Other than that, you’re home free to a sweet paycheck for passing the time away in your most enjoyable fashion. It’s not as difficult as you may think to get a gig testing video games. I’ve included a link below to a site that will show you exactly how to do it. So click away and find out how you can reel in some extra dough having a great time scoring touchdowns, killing aliens, infiltrating the enemies base or playing any other game you can thing of.

These are the most efficient classes in my opinion. It all depends on your game-play so this can differ from person to person.Modern Warfare and you can always search the site for more useful information about this game.

Part time jobs

If you want to earn extra money while having your present job or would like to earn home based extra income, you can take up

several types of online part time jobs. The most popular part time job is “paid online survey”. These days, companies are

willing to pay you for your opinion on various products that they sell. This is because they want to collect feedback from

customers about the product. Based on the feedback got from actual product users, the company can make further improvements

with their products.

Know the actual performance of the product in the market and can make further necessary improvements for the same product.

However, before you get involved with online surveys jobs, you need to consider certain important tips. They are as follows:

1) Catch hold of legitimate survey sites.
You may find several online survey jobs. However, you need to be careful when you choose a particular survey based website.

You need to pick up genuine survey sites.

These days, there are several scams happening on the internet and so you need to pick up only legitimate survey sites.

Find out paid survey directory which will connect you to huge list survey directories, all around the internet. There are

also certain consultants who charge a small fee for giving you a list of genuine survey sites. These consultants assume you

that they are genuine sites which they themselves have tested.

2) Do your own research:
Instead of relying blindly on survey sites, you can take feedback from actual survey participants and then get involved with

any surveys. You can do this by participating in forums and other social networking sites. There are even review websites

which contain reviews posted by actual users. You can refer to such sites and then choose your particular survey website to

work with.

3) Go for pure cash as receiving mode of payment:
Survey companies pay by pure cash or pay in the form of prizes. You should prefer for pure cash payment. They usually pay you

through Paypal or even check. You get the option to opt for any one of them.

4) Be patient to reach the minimum earning limit:
Many survey websites have a minimum threshold level based payment policy. For example, a survey company pays per survey.

But you will get paid, only when you earn the minimum total amount of mark. Till then you will have to continue accepting

surveys and continue to earn money. This is the usual method of earning money through online survey based jobs.

It is a fact that almost all big companies conduct surveys, in order to understand how consumers think of their product that

is launched in the market. This information can act as a feedback to companies and they can create better products in the

future. That is why people are paid incentives in order to motivate them to get involved with survey based assignments. This

in return can turn out to be a good source of earning online money. In fact, part time jobs, relating to online surveys has

become popular throughout the globe.

JOBS DURING A RECESSION AND RÉSUMÉ WRITING

Jane Porter of WSJ, in her article was saying how removing work experience from the résumé was helping people find jobs. The recession has done a great lot to people and their perspectives on jobs.

So you are a fresher or fresh grad that just stepped out of the college in need of a job! Does your résumé need an objective? If you really have achievements that can add value to the job you are applying for, then definitely , yes.

While writing your résumé, make that objective compelling. Recruiters skip over the objectives that are rhetoric and boring. Try to get to know what the job is all about and see how your skills and achivements, add value to the job responsibilities. Recruiters are not looking résumés that are loaded. Loaded résumés go to the bottom of the pile.

You did not lose your job because you did something wrong. You did not do something that is right either. You did it like how the many others before you did it, but still you lost your job. It has nothing to do with what you did or didn’t do. But that is besides the point.

You are one of those blue collared one’s that got the pink slip? You have tonnes of experience and you think you are qualified for the job. Darn it. You got to put all that experience there and if you do not , you would lose that opportunity! If they hire you, what is the guarantee you can offer them, that you would be around when the recession is off? So you need to make sure that your résumé doesn’t overhelm the recruiter or the hiring manager.

Let your lean résumé help you get into that job first. Settle down in the job and then begin to create opportunites that show them your skills.

Question by dolphin18paradise: What job opportunites are available in a Insurance Company?
I have a degree in BSC Corporate management and am now studying a certificate program as a medical biller and coder (no job experience though). Obviously, “insurance companies” pop out all the time while studying to be a coder and led me to think of the job opportunities there (at the other side of the fence, if you may).

Aside from the usual Insurance Agent (that’s responsible for insurance sales), what other jobs can I get without going through another certificate program and what does those jobs entail and there estimated salary?

Thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by bundysmom
Claims is pretty much it, or a starting point.
With biller & coding experience, you could start as a Med Pay/PIP adjuster where you essentially review the bills, make sure the codes are proper, look out for upcoding and unbundling (which chiro’s LOVE to do), and progress into more complex claims OR go into supervision OR perform audits. You can also go into BI claims where you investigate accidents, determine fault, and settle bi claims based upon the medical documentation and make reductions in the bills as appropriate. Health insurance carriers are always looking for people in claims with this background too, not just auto insurers.

Real Data Entry Jobs

Jobs are different than business opportunities where you are being taught how to start a certain type of business. Jobs that require a computer and jobs that don’t. Jobs that require previous education and jobs that don’t. Some people perform jobs that are exclusively data entry, while others, like programmers, might have to occasionally enter data. You can find numerous telecommuting data entry jobs available which provide people with an excellent way to have a flexible schedule. Typically, data entry jobs pay between 10-15 US dollars (USD) per hour. It is predicted that this method and others may ultimately take over some data entry jobs. Real companies are offering typing/data entry jobs. Most of these jobs do not require you to have extensive training or much. This data entry jobs allow you to be in control with no deadlines to meet. Data entry jobs and typing jobs are amazing ways you can make money with your computer from home. The best part about these data entry jobs is that you won’t have to do any selling. While many people search endlessly to find the REAL data entry jobs, the smart entrepreneurs are going to the PROVEN job resources. The popularity of data entry jobs and the fact that now anyone who has basic typing skills can start earning a part time or full time income. Now you can bid for Data entry online jobs and make good money while sitting in your own home. If you are tired of looking for and applying for data entry jobs, then you should consider creating your own blogs. No doubt about the fact that the data entry jobs are so easy to do and they are very lucrative means of earning by working from the comforts of your own home. When you look for data entry job, you are more likely to run across scams than real jobs. They have to be confident that they can perform their jobs with little or no supervision. It gives all of us a bad reputation and cuts down on the number of jobs that are advertised. Are they selling actual job listings for current jobs right now. What happens if you don’t have any work at home jobs that I like and I want my money back. More real work at home jobs with real companies than anywhere else on the internet. Just like your local newspaper, you’ll see a very wide range of different types of jobs that are suitable for all different types of people. We have jobs that require experience and jobs that don’t. We have such a HUGE and diverse selection of work at home jobs and business opportunities that it would be very difficult for someone to be unable to find a work at home job if they are really serious about wanting to work at home. We’ve had members give us feedback that they received their work at home job in less than two weeks after receiving our information and we’ve had others whose jobs searches were much more disappointing. There are SO MANY work at home jobs to choose from and they are extremely diverse. In fact, there are so many different types of jobs that viewing the job information can be somewhat overwhelming at first.

Thousands of companies need people to enter business data. The companies involved with these businesses want you to become affiliated with them. The Internet is filled with “Work at Home” business opportunities. Your local newspaper is plastered with advertisements for home business opportunities. It’s time for meto find happiness and financial success through a Work at Home business. The conclusion of my research has resulted in my highest recommendation for the following “Work at Home” businesses:. It is a legitimate business model that I use myself. As with any other business arena, it takes a lot of hard work, self education and dedication to make any progress. NEVER do business with any company that doesn’t publish its own address on their website (so you can verify it) and accept their own payments. Make sure the company accepts charge cards, their address is on their site, and that the name of the company who will appear on your credit card statement is the SAME company you think you’re doing business with. Some offer little more than lists of business opportunities that will require you to spend more money. We have such a HUGE and diverse selection of work at home jobs and business opportunities that it would be very difficult for someone to be unable to find a work at home job if they are really serious about wanting to work at home. We have employee positions, independent contractor opportunites and exciting home-based business opportunities. In more than ELEVEN YEARS of being in business and servicing thousands of members, we have never had a single unresolved consumer complaint with any company listed at our website. We do also list really exciting home based businesses that we believe offer excellent work at home options and most of these home businesses are very, very affordable and don’t cost very much to start. If you’re not interested in starting a home business, however, no matter how affordable it may be, there are still HUNDREDS of listings at our site that won’t cost you a single penny to start. Of course, if you start your own business and there may be no limit to the amount of money you can make from home. Our product and service is no different than any other product or service, and, like every other business, we have to charge for our products and services in order to stay in business. Work at home opportunities and ideas listed on our site as well as tips on avoiding home business scams. Filled with small business start up ideas, reputable work from home companies.

Many of them think that its all fraud and earning money online is all a scam. So if it’s all a scam, then how am I able to earn such handsome money from doing such jobs on the internet. The trend of online working is on the rise and people have started to admire the concept and today a lot of people are availing this opportunity to earn some extra money. The process of registration is totally free so you do not have to worry about spending money on the registration process. Your account on the freelancing website will be credited with the amount each time you earn money by doing online work.

Companies often find a need for specialized skills that can be done by a freelancer on a contract basis. Companies that do not publish their addresses on their website or take orders by mail, and who use outside vendors such as Clickbank or PayPal exclusively may do so so they can hide their identities and commit crimes without being held accountable. If so don’t loose heart, because we offer you home typing job, a direct work from international companies.

Question by Andrew: Job opportunites that have to do with computers and sports?
I am attending the University of Minnesota in the fall to study Computer Science…and maybe a minor focus on Sports Studies. Does anyone know of any job opportunites that would involve my two focuses: computers and sports? Any internships that I could look up online? It would be helpful if you could find Minnesota based jobs, but anything will do…just so I can take a look at it. I would also be willing to do an internship with any sports affiliated organization.

Thanks.

Accounting Jobs – How To Find A Good One

You need to first understand that as an accounting graduate, there are a number of avenues open to you and lots of broad job choices available to you if you are looking out for a smart career move; always remember this and work towards achieving the best offer you can for your skills and qualifications. Remember, being self-assured and aware of your talents is the key to applying that knowledge for your growth and career development, so even with your accounting graduation degree, there are a lot of doors opening up for you – you simply need to assess your potential worth for the company of your choice so you know you are the right fit!

Accounting graduates are a fortunate lot since there are a lot of sub-specialties in their domain where they can apply their knowledge of the subject to get good paying jobs with many benefits: some of these are jobs in Tax, Auditing, Financial Analysis Firms or with those companies handling Management Accounting.

Accounting graduates are further advised to take time out to think through their job moves so they have short-term and long-term goals for their career planned out and they can work to achieve these in a systematic way to get best results. Begin by looking for jobs that match interests as well as aspirations for growth; experience is the key to getting better jobs so always pay due attention to raising your current level and area of expertise to a broader one so you have more choices open to you!

Many accounting graduates have also successfully taken to faculty positions and teaching jobs in coaching classes, tutoring other students while they wait for a permanent job, which is a good way out instead of letting time, pass them by. You, too, can consider some of these healthy and time-saving options for short-term accounting jobs if you are more ambitious than what the scope of these offer, at least till the time you enter a specialized field in accounting.

Those good at public accounting can definitely get jobs as interns or Freshers as they are called, at the various Tax staffing and consulting or even management services may have positions at the entry-level open for such employees through the year as does the staff auditor, who always seems to need extra heads and hands.

About 5-6 years at this level, reporting to a senior and learning the ropes will find the accounting graduate being in a position of asking for a better job role, such as a Senior Auditor or Senior in Tax and Consulting etc. where a manager will oversee their work. The ultimate of course, for any accounting graduate is the Partner level and Senior Partner position – but this takes hard work, time and luck to come through, so stick it out till then at other options such as Internal Audit, Tax Accounting, Management or even Financial Accounting till other avenues seem to open up for you!

With dedication and planned career moves, you can be assured of various job choices such as Financial Planning, Cash Management, Credit Analysis or even Treasury Operations – then, the world is your oyster – and you’ll probably have the dough to buy a whole bed of them too!

2 Simple Tips To Match Your Skills To Appropriate Jobs

When you claim to have certain skills, you simply mean that you do a certain thing very well. The best way to grab the most appropriate job for you is to recognize and understand your skills and communicate the same in a very effective manner, in both oral and written form, to prospective employers. In other words, you match your skills to suitable jobs in the job market.

A variety of jobs require a variety of skills. So, how do you match your skills to the job advertised for?

1. Identify Your Skills

People acquire a lot of skills in the course of their lives. These skills could be based on knowledge acquired or they could be acquired as volunteers, students, homemakers, or while engaged in myriad other activities. It is possible to match your skills to any desired job atmosphere.

You may not have any work experience; so, you may not have adapted any skill to any condition of work. The good news is that skills do not have to be tested and proved in a work atmosphere. In other words, you stand a very good chance in the job market even without job experience. Moreover, if you succeed in effectively communicating your skills, you could become the leading candidate for the post.

2. List Your Skills

First, separate aptitudes and interests from your work history. Your aptitudes and interests include the activities in which you have participated in the past, your hobbies, and anything and everything that interests you. First, make a list all these things, and then identify the skills that you required to achieve each of these items.

For example, your skills based on interests and aptitudes could be sports, repairing cars, keeping home, and many more. These skills indicate your ability to work in a team, multi-task, interact with others, handle mechanical and technical problems, and so on. The list is, of course, endless, but ensure that these skills are of use in a working environment.

Make a list of all your previous employments. This is your work history and includes all the jobs you have done as a volunteer, part-timer, freelancer, including all the summer jobs and full-time jobs you have held. Once you have completed your list, make a list of skills you required and acquired in the course of each job.

Now that your list of skills is ready, it is the time to seek the help of professional job services. Ask job agencies to help you find a job that matches your set of skills. However, you have to remember that you have to match your skills to the precise requirements of individual employers. A certain degree of customization is required when you apply for different jobs.

Most job seekers are terrified of the titles of jobs. There is nothing overwhelming about a job title. If your skills and cabilities match the needs of the company or your prospective employer, you stand a greater chance of getting that job.

A Student?s Guide to Getting Part Time Jobs/student Jobs When at University or College

What is a student’s biggest worry, other than passing their degree? Well ask most students this and I’ll bet the majority of them will say that money is their biggest worry as a student. So as a student, what do you do about this? Turn into an alcoholic… well some might I suppose, but most students will try to find part time jobs, student jobs or even summer jobs to give them that extra bit of income that they need.

So in light of these thoughts, I decided to go and investigate what it is like, how easy it is, how difficult it is for a student to get a part time job. As a young person myself I know plenty of students who have had part time jobs in Leeds, part time jobs in Cumbria, part time jobs in Newcastle and many other places, so I had plenty of research subjects to prey on.

My first port of call was to go on a night out with some of the Northumbria University student jobseekers, which basically translates as a night out where you hardly spend a penny. I’d had plenty of previous experience in this field, but when you are out with a purpose to learn things you never knew about a lifestyle that you are so used to and involved in, it felt pretty different. On my first bit of prey, I dropped into a conversation the question ‘How do you cope for money when you’re in full time education, have rent and bills to pay and more things like nights out and food?’ The response I got wasn’t what I expected, they simply said they don’t cope at times, they have their student loans and they get a weekly allowance from their parents, but it’s still not enough.

By pure coincidence, the next thing I knew I was standing at a bar on Newcastle quayside chatting to a person who was trying to recruit students to take up holiday jobs which can lead to graduate jobs. I wasn’t drunk at this time, so yes it was a real funny coincidence. This person was talking about how it’s so difficult to recruit uni students due to their already hectic schedules. I then actually introduced one of my student friends to this person and to my ultimate satisfaction, I found that less than a couple of hours into this night out, I’d already got one of my friends a part time student job.

We then proceeded to a strange little establishment that I can only best describe as, well… a strange little establishment. I never even knew this place existed, yet there I was partying on down on a dance floor with a man with a withered arm and a woman on what appeared to be a dog lead – they were doing this strange hop along dance move. It was good entertainment to be fair and it seemed to have all the students’ enthusiasm and attention, so it was all good fun. Well in this strange little establishment I started talking to the woman who to my astonishment actually was on a dog lead (fashion accessory i guess), and she was saying about her daughter who had went off to Uni in Leeds and had managed to find part time jobs in Leeds that were relevant to her course which ironically was fashion. This gave me food for thought indeed, so the night went from strength to strength and then before i knew it i was being told it was time to call it a night. So as we all slumped back home in the bright light of the early morning with professionals on their way to work looking at us as if we were some sort of unique and wild species, all I could think about was what could be done to give students a better chance of finding student jobs, holiday jobs, summer jobs, and part time jobs.

The next morning, or should I say afternoon, I went online and started searching for a service that could help with what I am trying to find. Then after a few minutes of browsing I came across a website called www.ukstudentjobs.com, whose motto was ‘Discover new jobs to fit in with your student life’ BINGO! I’d found what I was looking for, a very colourful and artistic little corner of the internet which was dedicated to helping students within the UK to find part time jobs, summer jobs and even graduate jobs. So I would suggest that if you’re a student reading this, give UKstudentjobs.com a go because not only is it an ideal service, the help and support from their support team is second to none.

Part Time Jobs For High School Students-Paid Surveys

If you are looking for part time jobs for high school students? You are in the right place!Paid surveys shot to the top and became the best online jobs for teens. Nothing is easier, quicker and more readily available.

Why legitimate companies want to pay people for taking online surveys?

It is true that virtually all of the big name companies conduct surveys to better understand how consumers think and behave and will offer money to people as an incentive to complete surveys for them.Consumer opinions are very important as companies want to know what the consumers have to say about their products. This information can help them create better products in the future. That’s why they pay people for taking surveys.

Doing market research by asking people to take surveys is NOT a new marketing strategy, it has been around for a while. With the Internet, companies can now get the information much faster, cheaper and more efficiently. The old way is to organize marketing events, invite people to test products and fill out surveys. These kind of events can cost millions of dollars.

In as short as 15-20 minutes everyday, you can possibly earn 0 every week. For those that know how to maximize their earning potential, they can even earn as much as ,000 every month.

Convenience is probably one of the best advantages of paid surveys. You can practically do them anywhere at any time you wanted as long as there is an invitation to participate in a survey. Another good thing about it is that if you have to do something else first, you can stop midway and just continue later on.

Question by Smurfett: What kind of part time job should I look for?
I already have a position, but I need to make some extra to catch up my bills. Trouble is: my job is evenings and one whole day, either Friday or Saturday. Guess what hours most part jobs are around here? Evenings and weekends. Guess what hours newbies are assigned? Eveninings and…you got it. I need some ideas of how I can get ahead. NO McDonald’s please! I’ve done my grease time aready!

Best answer:

Answer by ™FuturePastryChef
Well unless you can find a busy restaurant that needs servers during the day, there isnt much you can do. Maybe you could also try looking for a secretary job? Those are harder and harder to come by though since the economy is in the pits.

During financial hard times, you may be one of the retrenched employees or unemployed graduates. You might be eager to look for new jobs in order to survive. If you have been involved in the field of construction or engineering for a period of time, you may consider obtaining the certification as a qualified home inspector. This is because during economy crisis, this profession has been considered as one of the most ideal part time jobs in the employment market. It allows you to work on your own and you can set your own schedule. You are able to generate extra income for yourself as well as your family.

In order to start this career, you are required to attend the formal training courses to learn the necessary skills on evaluating gas lines, roof, door, heating and plumbing system. You are also taught to inspect the overall property structure and produce proper written reports. During economy downturn, you may have the thinking in mind whether it is really worthwhile for you to invest some cost on these training courses. In fact, you don’t need to worry at all. Your small investment in home inspection training is really worth. It is proven by the statistics from US Department of Labor. It is clearly stated that the annual income of this profession ranges from USD 45,000 to USD 65,000. Isn’t it attractive? If you take it as your part time career, you can easily get at least USD 20,000.

Home inspector is indeed a convenient side job to supplement your current income. Once you have established a wide network in this particular industry, you may switch this part time job to be a full time business as this profession allows you to be your own boss and you are able to generate lucrative income.

It’s a crunch time for graduating seniors entering the workforce. It’s a tough time for graduates to find a fitful job nowadays.
The tough economy has worsened some students concerning for their career plans. Someone said that “It’s scary for the simple fact you don’t know how many openings a place may have or if you’re going to be everything that that company needs”.
The employment rate for graduates last year was less than 70% and the rising number seeking jobs is challenging the Chinese government at a time when the current economic crisis will surely exacerbate the problem. This issue is much wore this year. Employment in China has plummeted. Fewer positions are available for graduates and graduate employment will be limited in this year and for the next few years. Although many companies cannot find qualified employees working in specific technical fields, many Chinese graduates have majored in accounting, Chinese language and literature, law and computer science, whereas jobs in these fields are limited. It is likely close to 2 million graduates will be hideously unemployment- many of whom are postgraduates, even doctoral graduates.
Several factors are responsible for the dire situation facing graduates and the massive expansion of enrolments since 1999 is one issue. In 1999, the government stimulated domestic demand by increasing higher education enrolments to answer negative influence by the Asian financial crisis that began in 1997. Now the graduates with great amount of education investment become the poor victim of the increasing education enrolments.
The modernization of China’s economy and the opening of its markets have brought wealth, but at the cost of unemployment for many. Because of the rat race in such a society with stagnant economic, some students only with senior middle school diploma have to be a young work in factories in order to be one of the technically skilled workers. They think that they’d better earn money early than to be a would-be unemployment man with high diploma or experienced major skills. People take their jobs more seriously and are very loyal to their employers in such a competitive society with strong impact by this financial crisis.
Fewer positions are available for graduates and graduate employment will be limited in this year and for the next few years. What it will going on about the job issue of Chinese graduates?
Unemployed workers seem to be staying with friends in local apartments. Unemployed graduates find jobs such as workers in factories and salesmen, or they even polish shoes for others like so illiterate one. “I just want a job — no demands on salary” What a helpless claim! A report said that a girl in job fair kneel to one of the recruiter in Guangdong. Graduates choose suicide as their ending for life is not a new news now. What a cruel fact for our graduates!
Measures such as expanding postgraduate enrolments cannot solve the problem of graduate unemployment as it can only offer some relief or postpone the current employment pressure. Indeed, in recent years, employment of master degree graduates has become problematic. How it will go on if unemployed graduates become graduate student three years later?

The recent shake up in the world economy was a wakeup call for everyone. People who thought the economy couldn’t have been better, learned a hard lesson: The economy can and does fall when it is dependent on a few. A few months down the line, the ripple effects of this “mayhem” are still felt in many homes, families and companies. Many professionals were let go, “voluntarily retired”, or outrightly laid off. Companies such as Panasonic closed down over 200 plants in a short 3 months, while Citigroup, the parent company of Citibank and other subsidiaries has plans to lay off at least five thousand of its workers before the end of the 3rd quarter.

For some people, the damage done was so irreparable they had to resort selling their properties, cars, assets, withdrawing their kids from schools and even suicide as a last option. The present situation has got a lot of young adults and youths thinking more in terms of financially stable jobs that also has the potential of a lifelong career. One of these careers is the pharmacy technician.

While many people were being laid off their jobs in the banking and finance sectors, more pharmacy technicians were being hired to meet the rising demand for more hands and professionals in the health care sector. According to various medical news sources, the demand for pharmacy technicians is gradually increasing as more people fall sick nowadays compared to the ’70s and ’80s. Estimated surveys and statistics also show that as more people fall ill and more hands are needed, the demand for their services is bound to increase over the next 10 years.

For many people, the profession of the pharmacy technician is often placed on the same pedestal as a pharmacist. This however, is not true. Pharmacy technicians are like assistants to the pharmacists. They work alongside the pharmacist functioning and work as record keepers, aides to the pharmacists, getting patient records, and ensure make sure that all prescriptions are verified before delivery to the patients, keep and preserve medical files or data and can help in the application of the right labels to all prescriptions tendered.

Pharmacy technicians can work in the groceries, nursing homes, pharmacy shops, retails pharmacy shops, online pharmacies, hospitals, drug producing factories and everywhere the services of pharmacists are required. While they earn less than pharmacists, their annual salaries vary between twenty five thousand dollars a year to fifty thousand dollars ($25000 – $50000). And recent trends show that the salaries will increase with time as the demand for their services increase too.

Becoming a pharmacy technician entails hard work and discipline. Various schools offer the course both offline and online. Training under a pharmacist can get any interested individual a job. However, most employers prefer some form of formal education. Thus creating two groups of pharmacy technicians: Certified and uncertified. An individual can become certified by writing any of the following examinations:

1. ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians). OR
2. PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)

This newsletter goes out to about 500 people each month. Many of you may question why this topic would be of interest since you have a good job and appear to be pretty safe and stable in it. However, according to recent studies 400 of the 500 people reading this will have a new job in the next five years. So this is a very relevant topic for most people.

I am currently working with several people as they go through a career transition (translation – out of work and looking for a job). As we explore options and help them focus on the future, there are some interesting facts about the job market that everyone should be aware of. In my generation, a job was defined as working for a large company, like IBM, Dupont, or Ford. Our vision was that we could get a nice salary, great benefits, a comfortable retirement and all we had to do was work hard and progress steadily up the corporate ladder.

Here are some realities of the current job market:

- The average person entering the work force today will have between 10 and 14 jobs by the time they are age 39. This is driven by a rapidly changing business environment that sees companies come and go much more frequently than ever in the past.

- Only 2.6 percent of jobs in the U.S. are with companies that employ more than 99 people. A person who equates a job with working for a large organization is severely limiting options in the future.

- The top ten jobs that will be in demand in 2010 did not exist in 2004. Technology, world markets, and population demographics are creating new jobs every day. The problem is finding people with the right skills and personal characteristics to handle the new jobs.

So to prepare for your next career transition, here are some things you can do now to be prepared:

1. Build a network. Only 12 percent of positions that are available are advertised. Most are filled through word-of-mouth and networking. Get to know people, particularly those who own their own businesses. Show genuine interest in their business.

I never thought I would say this, but take advantage of social networking web sites like Facebook or Twitter to meet additional people. If you don’t believe in the power of this, it took 30 years for radio to reach 50 million people, 20 years for TV to reach 50 million people, and 2 years for Facebook to reach 50 million people.

2. Upgrade your skills constantly. You have to be technologically savvy in today’s world. If you are in a profession that has declining demand, then it may be time to consider getting additional education through local technical colleges or even through online training programs.

3. Get healthy. The number of jobs that provide full health care benefits is declining and will continue to do so. There is a good chance that your next job will not have as good of benefits as the one you left. The best way to lower you medical costs is to live a healthy life style.

4. Explore self employment opportunities. A recent estimate said that around 60 percent of households in the U.S. have some form of business operating out of the home. While on the surface self employment may seem to be the least secure form of employment, it may actually be the best way to achieve long term stability and security. Having been self employed for ten years, there is no way that I could see myself back in a corporate job.

Being self employed doesn’t necessarily mean that you will make more money and spend less time at work. In reality you will probably make less money and spend more time, but the rewards of being in control of your own destiny can outweigh these.

5. Get your finances house in order. The reason that many people get stressed during times of career transition is that they have failed to plan for an interruption in income and benefits. They are one missed paycheck away from financial ruin. Make a plan that assumes that you will miss three months pay in the next three years. What would you do? It is amazing how much money we routinely spend on stuff that we could do without during a true crunch.

As you read this, I hope that you are one of the hundred that won’t have to face a career transition, but is it worth taking the chance? Time spent preparing now will lessen the impact if it actually happens.

If you are new to Toronto, looking for a job or have recently been laid off, Toronto recruiters are the people to meet. Having a wide portfolio of experience linking potential clients with job seekers, all at a nominal fee. After an initial consultation, either over the telephone, via email or in person, they will assess your specific job needs, and ascertain whether you qualify to work in Toronto or not. Most organizations offer jobs to Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents only, and others have second language, typically French, requirements, Once the recruiter assesses whether you qualify for the main categories, they will inquire about your educational background, previous experience, and job description, references, expected salary and so on. They may also do some research and get back to you typically after a few days to present a portfolio of potential employers whose needs match with yours. After you select a few, they will make the appointments with them, and if all goes well, a certain commission (either a fixed percentage of the salary or another pre-decided amount) is paid to the recruiter. The advantage of hiring the services of a professional recruiter is that they have done their homework and have access to the latest on the job circuit, current trends, which areas are currently seeking employers and which are in recession. They provide in-depth, accurate and useful information for both job seekers and those requiring employees for their firms. They are a one-stop shop for all job needs.

The Pharmaceutical industry is growing in leaps and bounds. Most people can say that they’ve viewed a commercial about a new drug that’s been developed or spent time talking with a pharmacy tech at their local drug store. With earnings averaging in the mid to high $100K annual range, and an above average growth rate expected for careers, there are many opportunities to work in this field if this interests you. Here’s how you can find the right education path you need to obtain pharmacist jobs.

A pharmacist job generally requires a good deal of education, starting with a Bachelor’s degree in Science from an accredited college or university. In 1992, a majority of the nation’s schools voted to create a Doctorate program in pharmaceutical studies, so that is generally the standard that professional pharmacists adhere to in their educational pursuits. So, on average, Pharmacists must get the same number of years of education as a Physician or Lawyer before they can take a state board exam and become a professional working pharmacist. That’s a total of six years of post-secondary education.

In general, the education that pharmacists must have consists of studies in Pharmacology (the study of drugs), Chemistry, Clinical Care and Administration. In addition, pharmacists must have a solid background in mathematics and general biological science. Excellent writing and communications skills are vital to success in pharmacy as are knowledge of literature, history, government and social studies. Pharmacy is unique in that it combines the people aspect of care to the field of science, so being able to manage people and their needs is an important skill for any pharmacist to have.

In addition to the regular college classes they take, many pharmacists choose to work in either a pharmacy technician program as part of their learning process. There are multiple opportunities for pharmacy students to get all or part of their educational expenses paid for while they are in school if they become employed by a major pharmaceutical company or retailer. There is a big need for skilled pharmacists so companies are often ready to help with the costs of education to recruit them after graduation.

Once all college or university courses have been completed, the next step in the process is to take a state licensing exam. This is similar to a doctor or legal professional taking their state board exams. At the successful completion of the testing process, the pharmacy student or technician may begin working as a professional pharmacist. Each year, pharmacists are required to retrain or get additional coursework to keep their licenses and knowledge base up to date.

Becoming a pharmacist is a rewarding career choice for individuals who enjoy helping others manage their medical care via drugs and medicine treatments. This allows them to work with patient care, but stay out of the clinical setting. By following the above tips, you can be well on your way to getting an education in pharmacy too.

Economic downturn has got everyone giving a second thought to their careers. Those who have experienced a layoff are stepping forward with the help of research about what are the jobs that don’t get affected by recessions? Others, who are still in jobs, are preparing to equip themselves with the necessary skills for these recession proof jobs and still others who are already blessed with such jobs are thanking god for placing them there. So, what are these so called ‘recession proof jobs’? Time has prepared a list of 150 Best Recession-Proof Jobs and here are the details of top recession proof jobs

Health Care: Hospitals/health care is such a field that will never go out of demand. Whether a doctor, nurse, or diagnostic lab technicians- they will be well placed any time. After all, health needs attention- recession or not! However, some of the sectors in health care industry too can get slightly affected by the recessions. For example, dentists can see more impact of recession with people putting off getting dental care.

Computer Systems Analysts: Almost all the organizations today depend on computer and information technology to operate their business efficiently. Computer systems analysts use their technological knowledge effectively to incorporate new technologies into their existing systems. Not only system analyst, in fact, all computer jobs are more or less safer in the times of economic meltdown.

Sales and marketing: Laying off people from sales team doesn’t seem to be the strategy of any company. Sales jobs are one of the safest jobs when it comes to recession. After all generating new business in tough times is more than essential to survive.

Government Jobs: No country can afford to loose its administrative personnel at any time, leave alone recession. Government jobs, anyhow, are considered the most stable of jobs.

Accounting Jobs: There’s only one situation when accounting jobs are in danger zone- when a company closes down. In every other situation, including recession, all companies need to keep finances and taxes in shape (howsoever bad is the condition of finance).

Transcription Services are creating a huge employment opportunity worldwide. For perspective, a 2006 Market Intelligence Service report of National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) estimates that at least 120-150 companies are engaged in medical transcription there. India has an estimated.
18,000 transcriptionists today, but the number is expected to swell to 50,000 by 2010. Similar acceleration is projected in the Philippines where the number of MTs is pegged to climb from 7,000 to 25,000 by 2010. The growth in transcription is outstripping the ability of the U.S. based professionals to meet the demand. The Volumes continue to climb despite introduction of new technologies from time to time. An estimate by the U.S. Departmant of Labor suggested that the U.S. healthcare industry will need 90,000 additional medical record professionals by 2012.A blended approach is worked out where the there are two or more countries involved depending on the needs clients.

Nevertheless the essentials of Transcription job which are the quality people, educational excellence, information security and technological innovation cannot be compromised at any cost. Regardless of venue, educated and credentialed staff with the right set of skills and training must be available 24×7.

Such employers do find language and dialect barriers. These issues must be faced whether working within different U.S. regions or overseas. As in the U.S., now in other countries too, the female workers work from home as it guarantees a certain level of lifestyle flexibility. At the same time the security is also kept in mind, whereby the employers use digital certificates and encryption (digital signature) and give assurance to their clients that they are connected to a valid server and files are being accessed by authorized individuals only.

How often do we hear people that have careers complain about never doing the job they were trained to do? They did not realize when they entered into their chosen field that there would be many aspects to the job.

The same premise applies with the video game artist. Before really researching the subject many would be artists think it is just a matter of sitting down and designing a game and then putting it into production and it is ready to play. It does not quite work that way. If it did there would probably be even more games on the market than there already are. Video game artists have such a variety of jobs to do that many of these jobs have somewhat evolved into becoming specialties.

A good example of this is the concept artist. In other words the idea maker. It is his job to be creative and dream up the various characters and the types of atmosphere it will demand.. Once it is put to paper it is scanned into the computer and it is cleaned up using a software program with these types of capabilities such as Photoshop for example. Now we are still at the rough stage and color now has to be introduced.

This is where the texture artist now fulfills his roll. It is his job to create the texture for the colors, and then it moves onto the 3D model builder. So where did the role of the video game artist end? Actually, it did not; the video game artist may have been doing any one, several or all of the duties as outlined.

To become a concept artist you need to be yourself, you cannot really take training to be one. Simply being because it is based on creativity. No one can teach you to be creative, but they can teach you to develop your natural creativity. This is usually done by practice and more practice. You can never reach a plateau where you can say you have mastered it all, it just does not happen with the arts. Another thing to remember is doing not be a copier, be a creator. It does not take much creativity to sit down and copy another’s work.

Be observant, watch things how they move, animals, humans and even the elements. By doing this you will perfect your skills in proper proportions, and skeletal structure. The setting you are going to place your characters in is almost as important as the characters themselves. You are setting the atmosphere, which in turn sets the theme.

You many decide that you want to specialize in 2D or 3D animation, which is great. It means you are going to have to determine the levels of the various games and edit them as necessary. You may even have the responsibility of that of the texturing artist.

Now the 2D texturing artist has the job of texturing all of the elements found within the game as it pertains to the 3D objects. This can be greatly perfected and enhanced by the use of good quality software designed for this purpose.

The work place today is more competitive than ever. With a down turn in the economy having effective work habits will go a long way ensuring that you keep your job or you will have a much easier time finding a new one. When good jobs are hard to find everything you can do to enhance your chances is necessary. If you just follow some of the easy steps that follow keeping a good job will be much easier.

How to: Have Good Work Habits

First, if you want to let management know you are a hard worker, volunteer for assignments. Especially those that others don’t seem to be keen on doing. Do not over sell your skills for a job. It is better to do a much better job then they expected you to do. It is better to accomplish a project well, then to leave those around you disappointed. You want to make sure you follow through with the project and fully complete it. You don’t want to become known as someone who doesn’t finish a job.

Advice about: Landing the Perfect Job

Secondly, always be nice and respectful to those who work around you. It doesn’t matter if they are above or below you in status. If you are nice to everyone they will want to help you and make sure you will do well. Special skills aren’t necessary just the use of simple words such as hello, how are you, how is your family. Thank you should be a common word in your vocabulary. Remember a simple smile goes a long way. Studies have shown that those people who are considered to be nice in the work place have much lower stress levels.

Next, it is very important to prioritize your work load. All of us like to start with those tasks we like to do best. That may not be best for your job performance. You must start with the tasks that are considered most important by management. When you prioritize your work you may well be on the fast track to success.

Another key to creating effective work habits is to stay positive. No one wants to work around a negative person. It an be very counter productive to both you and you co-workers. Many things happen each day in the office, but it is essential you keep a positive attitude.

Lastly, it is important for you to highlight problems, but once you do, it is also very important for you to be able to solve them. If you only highlight problems and don’t solve them you will be perceived as always complaining.

While you are looking for jobs in gulf or once you get a job in the Gulf, and you have decided to relocate with your family, the most important factor to consider would be the relocation of your children. If you have young school-going kids, it is going to be a tough task for you to make them come to terms with this change in residence, country and culture. They would have to leave their friends, daily routine, hobbies etc and would have to adjust to a totally new way of life in the Gulf. This can be taxing for he children. So, you must prepare them emotionally and mentally before you relocate to take up that job in the Gulf.

Other than preparing them, you would also need to gear up yourself to find them a good school in Gulf. You would have to finalize a school that best fits your child’s needs and lets him continue the kind of education that he was receiving at this native location. If not exactly the same curriculum, then at least a similar education pattern so that absorbing that system is not a big challenge for your child. However, the question is how to finalize the right school in the Gulf for your child. A little planning in advance and some consideration can help you arrive at the right decision.

To start with, you must start research on the available choices of schools in your new location. You can do this online by visiting various web resources. Other than that, you can also ask for personal recommendations from your prospective employer or would-be colleagues. The best would be to ask people who have relocated to the Gulf from a foreign location. If they have migrated with their families, they would have ready advice for you for the school that you should choose in the area. You can also contact your foreign office or embassy to get first hand information on this. Otherwise, you can network with parents of that area online.

If the duration of contract of your job in the Gulf is going to be more than two years or so, you would have to make sure that you choose an international school for your child, so that when he/she joins back school in the home country, there is no loss on education front. If you are relocating for a period of more than five years, then you can choose a local school too as it will let your child absorb the new culture, get more stability in the long run and let him learn a new language.

If you are moving to a popular expatriate location in the Gulf for your job, you would have many choices in terms of schooling for your children. However, if the location is not a popular one, it is likely that your options will be limited and you might have to look at far-off schools or compromise on this front. You can get all information regarding this from the PRO of your new company.

Once you have short listed a few schools, it would be advisable to go through the school policies and get a clear picture of how the school deals with various issues regarding students. Also try to find out if the school encourages parents’ involvement in the education of children, in decision-making, problem resolution etc. Also, find out whether the school is recognized by the state government or not. Ask for the previous academic records of the school sand get details about the activities offered to students in the school other than the regular curriculum.

Before finalizing, see what the prevalent culture in the school is. Would the teachers and other students readily accept a foreign student? What is the language used by the teachers in the school? Does your child understand that language easily? What are the curriculum details? In fact, study the curriculum in detail to ascertain if your child can easily shift to this system from his current learning program. These small but important questions will let you take a correct decision in choosing the most suitable school for your child.

Jobs in Cairo attract a lot of expatriates. This huge and vibrant city offers many exciting career opportunities to qualified and trained professionals in various verticals. It can be said that Cairo represents the contemporary Middle East. It is a lively city with resident count anywhere between 16 to 18 million people. There is a huge population of foreign nationals from Europe, North America and other countries who are working in Cairo. The city offers a comfortable and warm environment to foreign workers who take up work here. There are also many lifestyle activities that the city offers to those who want to pursue their interests after work hours.

Expatriates who are doing jobs in gulf or Cairo include teachers, lawyers, web designers, consultants, journalists and editors. Those who know how to write and speak Arabic have an added advantage over others. Also, in Cairo, there is a demand for language experts to teach English to the local population. There are ample jobs for expatriates in Cairo but not many in other cities of Egypt outside Cairo. The economy of Egypt is mainly dependent on Cairo. The jobs are mainly categorized into two categories- those paid in the Egyptian Pound and those paid in foreign currencies. Most of the jobs that are paid in US dollars are not available on an ad-hoc basis. One has to line up and arrange for these jobs before arriving in the city.

The best way to find a job in Cairo is networking. The job market thrives on word of mouth and reference is the key tool to land a job. That is also one of the reasons to learn Arabic as it helps to socialize with other Egyptians. Most expatriates and Egyptians would have their business cards printed in both English and Arabic. Handing out business cards to anyone you meet for business or networking events helps one get a job fast. One can also form a bigger network and make new contacts by meeting people at local churches, cultural organizations, and clubs. Sometimes, expatriates also go for volunteering at relief camps.

The major sectors that offer employment in Cairo include education, development (NGOs), publishing, and for-profit businesses. In the education sector, there are ample teaching jobs for expatriates in Cairo. Teachers with experience are hired for teaching various subjects in Cairo schools. These jobs have to be arranged and applied for before arriving in Cairo. One could also register as a tutor at these schools. Then, there is also requirement for English teachers at private schools in Cairo.

Other than the education sector, the social sector also offers good career opportunities to expatriates. There are many NGOs based in Cairo offering relief work to expatriates. There are contract based as well as project based jobs available in these NGOs. There are jobs in various capacities available in Cairo.

There are good jobs in the writing and publishing industry too in Cairo. There are many English newspapers and magazines being published in Cairo that need full-time English writers. There are many other jobs in the publishing industry too in Cairo. One can work as a part-timer, freelancer or full time staff writer with these publications. To be a full-time worker, one needs to have a lot of experience. Besides writing, there are copy-editing jobs too.

There many jobs in Cairo in the areas of public relations, marketing and advertising. In fact, these are hot employment areas in Cairo. Then, there are many out of the box career options that one can pursue too. There are jobs in the healthcare and wellness industry too. There are jobs advertised on job portals though most jobs can be found through networking, as mentioned earlier. There are other industries such as IT, banking and finance, hospitality etc too that have jobs for expatriates. One can route through job consultants too but it is advisable to check the credentials of the consultant before taking up any job offer as many bogus players also operate in this field that lure the jobseekers with fake offers of lucrative jobs.

While living and working in Cairo, one gets a great opportunity to learn more about the Arabic culture and the richness and history of Egypt. With a little determination and open-mindedness, one can enjoy an experience of a lifetime while working in Cairo.

Unemployment Survival: Cutting Costs

With our economy in recession, more people will be losing their jobs, and could be finding themselves without one for an extended period. When that happens it’s not good enough to just cut back spending a little and use credit cards to make ends meet until the economy recovers. Getting by without a job is possible, even for an extended period, but it requires taking drastic measures to cut spending, and it requires taking them early, while you’ve still got some cash on hand.

Cutting fixed expenses

Most of the fixed costs for a household are tied up with housing. There’s the rent or mortgage, there’s the utilities, and there’s the insurance. If you own a house free and clear with no mortgage (or if the payments are very low), then it may make sense to stay there (even though just utilities and insurance can add up to as much as the cost of a cheap apartment). If you’re renting or have a mortgage, you need to look seriously at moving to the lowest-cost housing you can find–and start looking the instant you begin to suspect that this period of unemployment will not be the sort of brief sojourn that people can generally expect during good economic times.

The most obvious thing to do is to move in with relatives. Many people view this as the sort of ignominious defeat that’s little better than ending up living in their car, but it’s a step that can turn a catastrophe into just a bump in the road if you do it early enough. If you wait until your savings are exhausted and you’ve run up a bunch of credit card debt, you can put yourself into a hole that you may not be able to get out of anytime soon. Just tell yourself that you’re not moving in with relatives forever, just until the economy improves enough that you can find steady work again. And really, isn’t this what family is for – to support us and always be there for us in our time of need no matter what? Of course it is.

If you don’t have relatives (or they won’t take you in), other sorts of house-sharing arrangements are possible, such as splitting costs with a roommate or renting a room in someone else’s house. The other really large expense for a lot of people is transportation. Owning a car costs thousands of dollars a year–and only about half the expense is the purchase price and financing; the rest is just fuel, maintenance, taxes, and so on. If your car is paid off, it may make sense to keep it; it would put some opportunities to earn money within reach that wouldn’t be if you had to rely on public transport or a bicycle or walking. But owing money on a car is just about untenable for someone without a job.

Those are the big ones. If you can reduce your cost of housing enough (and you don’t have other debt that you have to make payments on), you can cover your other living expenses at some level, even with a very low income, at least temporarily.

Enjoy it

Is there any overlap between living in poverty and living large? Personally, I think there is. Being forced by hard economic times to eke out a meager existence – that’s not exactly living large. But choosing to eke out a meager existence, because it’s the best way to live according to your own values? That’s living about as large as you possibly can. Most people never think about what they most want to do with their lives. They find something that they’re okay at that pays enough money to support them, and then let a rising income drive a rising standard of living with no real thought even to the possibility that there might be alternatives. In hard times, though, the alternatives may be all you’ve got. Fortunately, there’s a good chance that one of those alternatives is actually a better choice than whatever you ended up doing.

You can get by without a job if you cut your spending enough. And if you do that, you open up a universe of possibilities that most people don’t even know is out there. Take advantage of the opportunity to explore those previously uncontemplated choices. If you don’t like what you find, you can go back to working a regular job just as soon as you find one. Maybe, though, you’ll find the alternatives alluring.

And if you’re unemployed and haven’t already done so, by all means – file for unemployment.

You can not open the newspaper or watch a news broadcast without being aware of how many Americans are losing their jobs. As devastating as this can be how you handle it is very important for both your financial security and peace of mind. If you follow some of the steps below hopefully we can make a very difficult time a little easier.

How to: Handle Job Loss

First, make sure you collect all of the wages that are owed to you by your former employer. Not just your salary, but any vacation and sick pay owed to you should be collected. If you were promised a bonus or are owed commissions make sure you collect those also. Don’t let the employer intimidate you.

Advice about: Landing Perfect Job

Second, check into your health insurance to see how you can take advantage of COBRA. It is now more important than ever to make sure you have coverage in case of an emergency. Going to the doctor or the hospital without insurance, could cost you all of your savings.

Next, check with your states unemployment to see if you are eligible. If you are fill out the forms as soon as possible so you can receive your first check quickly. The basic amount of time for unemployment is 26 weeks. But now with the high rate of unemployment extensions are being given. Make sure you check all of your options.

In addition, don’t be embarrassed many people are losing their jobs today through no fault of their own. Tell people, talk about it. Don’t isolate yourself. You never know when you are talking to someone they may know of a position for you.

Lastly, take this opportunity to evaluate what you want to do with the rest of your life. This a perfect time to consider starting your own business. Many folks are looking to online home businesses. Even if at first it is only part time it can grow into a full time profitable endeavor. Most important, don’t get down on yourself, keep a positive attitude and think of this whole experience as a new beginning.

In today’s economy it is important to have a job that offers job security. There are few jobs that offer more job security than being a plumber does. Plumbers are always in need, in a good economy, bad economy and all economies in between. Plumbers are need for new construction, updating old construction, and everyone is familiar with having to call a plumber for repairs. Plumber training is not easy, it requires lots academic skills as well as many hours of practical experience. To be come a license plumber you will need to attend plumber training and have completed some level of being a plumber journeyman.

Plumbing Offers Lots of Rewards
While the requirements to become a plumber are not easy, the rewards are well worth the effort. Plumbers not only enjoy job security they also receive a lucrative wage and as their experience level goes up so does their wage. Many plumbers want the freedom of working for themselves and owning their company, that is most certainly an option with plumbing. For those that prefer the security of working for someone else they can work for a small company or a large company. They can work for any number of companies that are not directly associated with plumbing but have large facilities that require maintenance and updating.

Training is Available Through Many Sources
Plumbing Training is available to you through a wide range of sources. You can attend a trade school, you can attend a community college, you have the option of joining the military to learn to become a plumber. you can locate a plumber that requires a journey to teach and train. Many people chose to go to a trade school to learn how to become a plumber. This option is very straight forward, you know how long it will take, you can calculate how much it will cost and you can plan accordingly. If you decide to attend a community college you will certainly know how long it will take to complete your plumber training courses but this option is likely to take longer than a trade school but you are likely to receive a more rounded education. Community colleges tend to offer a very favorable credit hour rate and may be a less expensive option than a trade school. Since a community college will take longer to complete than a trade school you need to calculate total education costs and not just a semester or month’s period of time.

The military is another very good option to receive plumber training. The armed forces will provide complete training and give you the opportunity to have lots of practical experience under the tutorship of a very experienced master plumber. Under most circumstances you will be able to receive your plumber’s license once you get out of the military. It is also worth considering that you not only get the experience and training you get paid for your time, your medical is covered and you can likely see a part of the country or world that you wish to see.

Every 4 years, the United States government takes an official tally of the number of residents in each town, city, county and state in the US. This information is used primarily for determining the number of representatives each state and county is allotted by the federal government. But today, there is much more to the census than counting heads. The information is used to determine funding for a large number of state and federal programs, such as public school funding. The demographic data provides a goldmine of information for businesses and marketers as well.

A census taker’s job provides a great opportunity for anyone looking for a temporary or part time job, or students looking for summer employment to get a good paying job with flexible time and hours, working with people, and knowing you are contributing a very important process dating back to the founding of the United States of America! An army of paid workers is needed to travel down each street and alley, and look in every nook and cranny to ensure that no individual is missed. President Obama’s strong interest in the outcome of the census provides all the more reason to believe that the 2010 census will be better funded, and employ more people than any before in history. The interviewing for census taker jobs in 2010 will start in the fall of 2009. If you want to get one of these jobs, you need to be prepared.

Preparation Steps:

1. Visit the Census Jobs Web Page

The census has a dedicated web page for people who are interested in taking up a census job.
This page is updated with the latest census job information available.

2. Understand what knowledge will be expected.

Like many civil service jobs, there is an exam you must pass. The exam test basic competency in math and reading skills, reading maps, Interpreting information and evaluating alternatives, and organizational skills. There is a practice test available on the census jobs web site

3. Check the opportunities available at regional Census field offices.

The census bureau has 12 regional field offices located in Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Kansas city, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and Seattle. Each regional district covers an area of several states. Go to the regional field offices main page and click on the us map to find your particular census district field office. It may in fact be locates outside your state! For example, the California is split into two districts with a field office in Los Angeles for Southern California, and a field office in Seattle! The local field office employment pages will list specific job opportunities within the district as well as phone number and other information for ongoing survey and field work positions. There is a lot of other useful information available at the regional field office pages as well.

Bilingual Skills give you an edge.

Know more than one language fluently? this may give you a great opportunity to get a leg-up on the hiring. Part of the census mandate is to encourage participation of non-english speaking residents, who will need the help of someone who understands their native language well. Because of the diverse nature of American population, speakers of all languages are needed. So the more uncommon the language you speak, the more likely your translation services will be needed.

SO if you are looking for some part time employment, of just want to have a flexible job to make some extra money, and meet a lot of people, check out the US Census Bureau, they may have a job that is perfect for you!

A dialysis technician is responsible for setting up and operating dialysis machines and monitoring kidney patients since dialysis machines help in removing toxins, waste products and extra fluids from the patient’s blood. You can become a certified Dialysis Technician by taking up a training program. Here are 7 easy steps on your way of becoming a Dialysis Technician!

Step 1: Learn about the job!
Know the job description!

Step 2: Know the career duties
A Dialysis Technician has to prepare solutions that are use to sterilize the patients’ blood before the dialysis treatment starts. She/he also has to record the blood pressure of the patient, his weight and vital signs both before and at the end of the treatment. Then, the patient’s condition has to be reported to a supervising nurse and physician, as the case may be.

Also, you will be prepared to respond quickly during emergencies involving dialysis treatments. The job also requires the technician to clean up, sterilize and also maintain the dialysis machinery.

Step 3: High School Diploma
A high school diploma or an equivalent of the diploma is a primary requirement for the training programs. In addition, you may also want to enroll in math, science and other health occupation classes to help you with your post secondary studies.

Step 4: Certificates and Licenses
In addition to the diploma, you will need a certificate as “Dialysis Technician” from any national organization. This can be any organization but ones like the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing and Technology (Check out http://www.bonent.org), and the National Nephrology Certification Organization (Check out http://www.ptcny.com) are especially preferred among employers today. You can also get a national certificate as a qualification for the state licensure.

Step 5: Dialysis Technician training program
You will need to learn anatomy and physiology, CPR, assessment of a patient, and first aid. You will also need to know the correct method to set up and operate the various dialysis equipment. Along with that you will need to prepare dialysis prescriptions, and perform venipuncture and care for patients before, during and after treatment. You will also go through tens of hours in clinical training which will be supervised in the training programs.

Step 6: Education hours
To renew your Dialysis Technician certificates and licenses, you will need to complete a specified number of education hours as a prerequisite. Also the training can be a stepping stone for those who are looking to expand their career towards a registered (or even a licensed vocational) nurse.

Step 7: Work
Be ready to churn out any amounts of work hours that your employer may ask. Since jobs are hard to find now a days, you must be totally prepared to put in all the hard work that is required of you. Being a Dialysis Technician is not easy, but then again, what is? So, a final word to budding technicians out there: good luck!
